Wedding Photographer Valkenburg: Coverage of a 25th Wedding Anniversary at Chateau Sint Gerlach in Valkenburg
No white wedding dress today, no vows, but a lively celebration of two super lovely people who, along with all their friends and family, enthusiastically commemorate their 25th wedding anniversary at the beautiful Chateau Sint Gerlach in Valkenburg aan de Geul.
I arrived at 3 PM, as all the guests slowly trickled in and started with the reception. I was warmly welcomed by the master of ceremonies. Everyone stood outside in the sun, and inside, to everyone's surprise, an artist was busy creating a painting of the whole scene.
Just like 25 years ago, the wedding cake was cut, and a toast was made. Subsequently, the couple received gifts from each guest.
After taking a large number of group photos, it was time for dinner. During the dinner, I sat in a separate room and edited some photos from that day for a presentation on a projector during the evening party in the pavilion.
Between the courses of the delicious "wedding" dinner, there were various speeches and singing. The atmosphere was exceptionally good, resulting in many photogenic journalistic moments filled with beautiful emotions.
After dinner, everyone headed to the pavilion, where the evening guests arrived, and the band Tilt (who also played at the wedding) was performing.
The mood was immediately lively. Once all the guests were inside, the bridal couple was announced by their son. The first dance (which he sang live with the band for them) was the song "My First, My Last, My Everything" by Barry White.
After the first dance, everyone hit the dance floor, and there was lively dancing, occasionally interspersed with a fun performance. The evening was super cozy.
