A special wedding reportage in Limburg on Sunday, July 31st. It's not very common to get married on a Sunday, but these nice people did everything in their own way.
The wedding reportage started with a wedding lunch at the luxury wedding venue castle (Buitenplaats) Vaeshartelt in Maastricht. Unfortunately, as it was raining, this didn't take place in the secret garden but under the canopy on the terrace. Here, a beautiful long table was set, where all wedding guests, like family members and neighbors, sat together cozily. Toasts were made, food was enjoyed, and an hour after the starter, the civil registrar arrived for the marriage ceremony.
The marriage ceremony also took place at the long table. The civil registrar stood. It was a very nice and personal informal wedding ceremony, ending with a song performed by the bride accompanied on guitar for her newlywed husband. There was laughter and tears, providing a beautiful opportunity for journalistic wedding photos.
After the wedding ceremony, the delicious main course was served, followed by dessert. Meanwhile, the clouds alternated with occasional rays of sunshine, a moment I seized for taking the only informal group photo during this wedding.
