Wedding photographer in Kerkrade and Eygelshoven: at the little church on the hill and at the wedding venue Castle Erenstein

First, I had the privilege to photograph her sister's wedding, and now, a few years later, I had the opportunity to create her wedding reportage.

On a beautiful sunny day, I rang the doorbell at the apartment of the groom's parents. A barber was supposed to be present, and all the men were getting ready. A cheerful atmosphere, with an episode of "Married with Children" playing in the background, and men enjoying a beer. A delightful start for me as a wedding photographer.

From the groom, I headed to the bride, who was getting dressed at home. Her hair and makeup were already done when I arrived, so it was time to put on the wedding dress. She did this together with her sister and her mother. In between, her proud grandmother came upstairs.

Once everyone was ready, the groom arrived in his old Porsche convertible. From there, the entire party set off for the church wedding at the charming church on the hill in Eygelshoven, where a beautiful wedding ceremony with live singing took place.

From the church, we headed to Castle Erenstein, where the toast and the cutting of the wedding cake took place on the beautiful terrace. Always a fun moment during the wedding reportage is when little children get a piece of cake (or a glass of children's champagne). After the wedding cake, there were hilarious group photos, followed by a brief photoshoot, including some wedding photos with the wedding car. Since this couple wasn't into posing too much, we turned it into a mini-shoot.

Then, everyone went to Tiendschuur for the wedding dinner, followed by the evening celebration. The banquet hall was beautifully lit. During dinner, I ate and edited some wedding photos for a same-day edit as a wedding photographer. These were presented on a projector during the party.

Soon it was time for the first dance, the father-daughter dance, and the mother-son dance, followed by a few surprises for the newlyweds.

While the party was in full swing, I bid farewell, resulting in a lovely spontaneous account of this wedding day.

"Door Shirley hebben we hele mooie tastbare herinneringen aan onze mooie trouwdag over gehouden. Shirley maakt hele mooie spontane foto’s. Wij als bruidspaar hielden niet van geposeerde foto’s en hier is Shirley een kei in! De foto’s en het album zijn prachtig geworden, en zullen hier nog lang met veel plezier op terug kijken! Nogmaals hartstikke bedankt Shirley!!"
